Located just off the southern shore of Loch Lomond the Bird of Prey Centre is a great place to visit and get to see these animals up close that you wouldn't at other points. A lot of these large birds are out of cages, just feet away from you, which allows for some very up close shots as below. There were more birds that were in cages, mostly as they were nocturnal such as various species of owls which I couldn't really get a good shot of with the lighting and my limited zoom lens.
One thing that was clear was how much the staff care for these creatures that were all happy, calm and beautiful examples of their species all with their own obvious personality. If you would like to know more you can visit their website by clicking here.
